Are you someone who is interested in all things print and web? We are looking for someone familiar with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, XML and CSS, a person who knows their way around Adobe Dreamweaver, but is not afraid to get their hands dirty in a text editor. A sharp mind and willingness to learn our priority content management systems while coordinating with our webmaster, editorial and production departments to publish the classified print product along with the website, weekly.
A knowledge of JavaScript, PHP, ASP, Flash ActionScript, and Wordpress would be highly valued assets to our team, but not required.

Our interns don't fetch coffee--they help produce the Baltimore area's free alternative newsweekly by fact-checking, conducting research, doing data entry, and writing short pieces for the weekly calendar, with the potential to write longer, more involved pieces. To participate, you must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program and be able to earn academic credit. All majors are welcome. City Paper is always looking for people to be a part of their street team! What does this mean to you?
Here's how it works:
When CP has events that we need covered, we email ALL of our Street Team members at the same time, offering them the opportunity to cover an event. If you're able to cover the event and you're the first to reply to the email, you get it!!
Sometime during the week, you will have to come to the City Paper offices to grab some swag bags to pass out at the event. Once at the event, you pass out the grab bags and take pictures of people at the event.
You email those pictures back to CP and for that, you get a prize pack CHOCK-FULL of goodies!
