It runs concurrently with As We See It, the BMA's citywide student art exhibition that showcases works by 400 city public schools students, pre-kindergarten-12th grades. Works by winners, finalists, or semifinalists of the MICA-affiliated Trawick and Bethesda Painting Award Honorees opens May 30 in MICA's Meyerhoff Gallery. Six Photographers: Kashmir Through the Lens--which features Images from international photographers Henry D'Silva, Shahid Hashmi, Abdul Nasser, Sujin Balakumaran, and Baltimore native Carl Abrams--opens June 3 at the Creative Alliance at the Patterson with a 6:30 p.m. reception. Local artist Rachel Rotenberg's exhibition of wood sculptures opens June 3 at the Weinberg Park Heights Jewish Community Center, with a 6-8 p.m. artist reception June 23.
