GET ON THE BUS This Sunday, Feb. 14, the Evergreen Museum and Library sponsors an Art Bus Tour of Baltimore's "lesser-known art world," as coordinated and chaperoned by local artist/curator Jason Hughes (an erstwhile City Paper contributor). Starting at 10 a.m. at Evergreen, the bus tour hits the Load of Fun, Area 405, the H&H building (home to Gallery 4, the Whole Gallery, and Nudashank [co-operated by CP contributor Alex Ebstein]), before ending at Jordan Faye Contemporary in Federal Hill. The tour runs $65 for Evergreen Museum and Library members, $80 otherwise.

"It's all about getting a new collector base going--or getting people who may collect artwork but don't know these spaces at all because they don't come downtown," Hughes says by phone of the tour's organizing idea. "And that worked perfectly with these workshops I've been wanting to do, working with building a new collector base in Baltimore." Ticket price includes lunch and a champagne toast at the end of the day. Visit museums.jhu.edu or call (410) 516-0341 for more details.

RIDE TO PROM Dust off your favorite ruffled shirt because the Velocipede Bike Project sponsors a Veloci-Prom fundraiser Feb. 13 at the Windup Space. For a $5-$10 sliding-scale admission you can dance to the debonair sounds of DJ Jason Willet, appreciate the contortionist shenanigans of local performance artist Rebecca Nagle (recently back from her solo U.S. tour with A Dozen Things I Want to Do On Stage), shake that body on to the ground to the light-skinnededed jams of Claire Hux, and more, more, more. Visit velocipedebikeproject.org for more details.
