Chewing Piano

By Mark S. Sanders | Posted 11/22/2000

Chewing Piano

be chewing piano

savour broken waltzes

gnash ivory splinter

slip chill pedal brass

into shuddering gullet

gorge on fractured symphony

swallow tickle wire

gulp dry hammer felt

crackle patina glaze

in half note teeth

giggle with silver riddled

gums and tongue

smile,

this--the taste of music
