As Bawlmer bar-crawlers, we have had to endure some pretty foul men’s rest rooms. The graffiti, the stickers, the urine-soaked toilet, walls and floors, not a pretty picture. Just when we were ready to hold it until we got home, a tiny port in the storm of stench and filth appeared on the horizon. The men’s room at Ale Mary’s is a true work of art. As you enter this lovely lavatory, you see that the floors and walls are not only clean—they are polished marble. This modest two-holer (one urinal and one stall) is spotlessly clean and has none of that offensive odor. When you are done with your business, there is a shiny pedestal sink to clean your dirty mitts. Drink all you want because getting rid of it will finally be a pause that refreshes.
