Best Dance Club

Latin Palace

509 S. Broadway, (410) 522-6700,

Posted 9/21/2005

Trust us, leave your lame two-step at home before you step up to the big leagues at Latin Palace. Every week—Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays—Latin Palace is transformed into a Latin house party. (Wednesday is reserved for hip-hop, and Thursday is college night.) Go ahead and try to stand around as DJs vibe from hip reggaeton all-star Daddy Yankee to the frenetic conga beats of standards like Tito Puente, Tito Nieves, and Celia Cruz. Fellas, sneak in a dance lesson or two before hitting this one up. And, ladies, tired of the bump and grind of every other club? Come by and sip on a mojito or margarita before a nicely groomed gentleman in a tailored suit—complete with ascot—spins you around like a top to the groovy sounds of salsa and merengue.
