Best Cheap Restaurant

Holy Frijoles

908 W. 36th St., (410) 235-2326

Posted 9/17/2003

OK, so it's not the best Mexican in town, but it's darn good. A couple of tacos runs less than $4. And Holy Frijoles offers up all of the traditional south-of-the-border fare: burritos, nachos, chiles rellenos, quesadillas, and chimichangas so big that you'll have to pack them up in Styrofoam and finish eating the next day. Wash it all down with endless refills of your favorite drink. The place is so cheap, in fact, we feel guilty giving the waitstaff only 20 percent of the bill.
