Samos sits apart from Greektown's other restaurants, and well it should since the food here is head and shoulders above the rest. We've never had such excellent lamb, garlic-studded, expertly seasoned, and sporting a deliciously crispy layer of pure fat--get it with the broad-cut Greek-style fries in order to soak up every last yummy drop. The combo plate, piled high with dolmathes, souvlaki, gyro, and spanakopita, is a tour de force of oft-abused menu standards that at Samos are raised to the level of excellence by their fresh ingredients and careful preparation. Yassou! And don't bogart the avgolemono.
