The folks who brought Baltimore the Ambassador Dining Room are now taking a shot at Middle Eastern fare with the Carlyle Club, which offers up succulent Lebanese dishes in an upscale environment. Start out with the pumpkin soup, move to a lamb kebab or the moussaka, and end with the baklava. The Carlyle is a bit on the pricey side--and the class shows in the atmosphere and service--but there are a number of less expensive, appetizer-type dishes the grazer can start with.
