Rebecca Burchette, Flowers in the Attic
At first, she looks like any other petite, young tough-girl punk--jeans, T-shirt covering a bit of the tat on her arm, adorable hair. Then her three Flowers in the Attic bandmates pull-start their chain saw-buzz hardcore, she raises a microphone to her face, and her first vocal-cord burst sends your fillings fleeing from your teeth. Baltimore's a burg with more than its fair share of guys in throat-gurgling metal bands and screaming hardcore juggernauts, but none of the boys matches the hair-parting ferocity of FITA's Rebecca Burchette's pipes. She may be a little woman, but she sounds like she could take a bite out of sheet metal and spit nails.
