If you can steal away for a long lunch on a weekday, $12 will buy you a heck of a lot of high-class Indian food at the Ambassador Dining Room. The staff lines up silver trays of lamb vindaloo, fish with tamarind sauce and scallions, chicken tikka masala, lentils, paneer, and a vegetable curry in the middle of the restaurant. The all-you-can-eat lunch also comes with a mixed-greens salad, alu chaat (an Indian potato salad), naan, and, of course, basmati rice. If you have room for dessert, you might try the rice pudding. The buffet is bit more expensive on the weekends, but then you also get mimosas with the deal.
