There are just too darned few ice cream parlors in Baltimore, which makes sparkly little Sylvan Beach even more of a standout. Classic ice cream concoctions like shakes and sundaes, as well as just an old-fashioned dip on a cone, are rendered sublime by the extra-smooth deep creaminess of Sylvan Beach's homemade blends. Sylvan Beach seems to have perfected the ultimate summer ice cream flavor (Key lime pie, featuring generous chunks of buttery crust and tart filling), but this is a parlor for all seasons: Drop by often to try the new varieties that arise with delicious frequency.
