Best Deli

Attman's Authentic New York Delicatessen

Michael Northrup

As Baltimore's once famous Corned Beef Row slowly turns into Yet Another Pricey Condo Block Row, Attman's remains a kosher-licious staple for layered corned beef on crusty rye bread, hearty hot dogs with a giant pickle on the side, and latkes like Grandma used to make. The atmosphere is somewhat frantic, but that doesn't stop people from packing in like sardines along the counter over the lunch hour, patiently awaiting the garlicky, pleasantly spiced offerings of Attman's. They have a kibbitz room for you to sit and enjoy your eats, but, best of all, they cater, so when the New York relatives come into to town you have a top-notch deli to prevent them from going into withdrawal.
