Best Hamburger

Swallow at the Hollow

5921 York Road, (410) 532-3027

Posted 9/20/2006

If there's one thing college students and senior citizens can agree on, it's a bargain. Take, for example, half-price burger nights (Sunday and Wednesday) at Swallow at the Hollow. It's kind of ridiculous, actually, how much of a steal this deal is. Half-price of dirt-cheap is . . . what? Free? Not quite but close enough. Bonus: Swallow's burgers--big, juicy, flavorful, cooked to order, with a generous helping of tasty fries--may just be the best in town. Feel free to crowd (and we do mean crowd) in with the Loyola kids and busloads of seniors on half-price night if you wish. But if you're like us, you'll go any other night of the week and have the dining room and the full attention of Swallow's crazy-nice waitress/barmaid practically to yourself.
