Best Pizza

Iggies

818 N. Calvert St., (410) 528-0818, www.iggiespizza.com

Posted 9/20/2006

Pizza isn't usually a meal that people rave about for days afterward. It's generally eaten on the fly and forgotten. But Iggies has changed that. Its Neapolitan pizzas are simple but delicious, with a thin crust and lots of unique ingredients, so you can either order off the menu or add your own ingredients and make it up as you go along. The Pepe, topped with arugula, lemon, and ricotta cheese, is particularly good. Unfortunately, as of now there are no soy-cheese options, so all you dairy-intolerant and vegan diners will have to pass. In addition to pizza, Iggies also offers salads and pasta dishes, but the restaurant is BYOB--so if you want wine with dinner, make sure to bring your own.
