Soup's On at Rose's Cookies

Good soup is hard to find; most delis offer "homemade" soup prepared by opening the Cryovac pouches and pouring it into a warmer. Not so at Soup's On. Proprietor Cynthia Shea heats your soup to order, hooks you up with a hunk of warm and crusty baguette, and offers one of several salads to go with it. We usually skip the salad and opt for a cookie or a $2 bag of brownies instead: Shea shares her Avenue shop with Rose's Cookies, so a good dessert is both easy to find and hard to pass up.
