Best Indian Restaurant

India Rasoi

411 S. High St., (410) 385-4900

Posted 9/20/2006

We feel like a broken record sometimes with our friends--yes, it's an Indian place, yes it's in Little Italy, no we don't want to go to that other place you always want to go to. Why? Because India Rasoi's vindaloos are spicier, its samosas crunchier, its naan softer, its soups more complex. We love the fact that we never get chewy bits in our chicken tikka masala because it's all white-meat chicken. And we love that the kormas we order from Rasoi are not just dishes of creamy mush. Yes, we know, the décor is nothing to write home about and there's rarely any ambient music to distract you. But we go there for the delish dishes, anyway, not so we can admire finely woven tablecloths and framed reviews on the walls. Seriously, we don't want anything distracting us from our baingan bartha, OK?
