Personality goes a long way. In fact, it's one of the reasons why Ras Doobie gets pushed to the top of our list of places to get Jamaican food. It's not just the fact that this place has mastered standards like jerk chicken, curry goat, and pumpkin soup that makes it our favorite. Nor is it just that it serves those dishes alongside creative originals like fried fish in an orange marinade and Guinness-flavored ice cream. Rather, it's how Ras Doobie and wife Queen Nzinga don't just feed you, but also smile and joke and chill and make you feel like a family member or cherished friend while they do it.
