Best Happy Hour

Dizzy Issie's

300 W. 30th St., (410) 235-0171

Posted 9/20/2006

The best thing about Dizzy Issie's is the newly done wood floors. Kidding. We kid. We do love the shiny new hardwood, although it meant one night we had to make en-route emergency change-it-up dinner plans via cell phone to half a dozen friends when they shut down to install them. See, we depend on Diz's happy hour prices: $1.50 domestics and $2.50 import draft pints 3-7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, help us get our work done early enough to catch a bar stool before the hipster/Hopkins crowd rolls in. Dizzy's has always been our favorite corner bar with its charming kitsch, rock-steady bartenders, easy on the ears jukebox, and tasty yet affordable homespun menu. But, baby, cheap beer is the way we roll.
