Mr. Boh proposing to the Utz Girl
Yes, it panders to the hometown folks, but Smyth Jewelers' North Charles Street billboard featuring Mr. Boh getting on his knees proposing to the Utz Girl does draw attention. Smyth has been keeping Baltimore's public ad space hoppin' with its cheeky, and no doubt expensive, campaign that features diamonds captioned your girlfriend wants me or you won't find me at the mall, i'm not that kind of girl, but it's Mr. Boh that has been drawing the attention. There have been so many phone calls to advertising firm MGH that creative director John Patterson says they're thinking about making posters. "That billboard really is the most talked-about billboard in years," he says.
