Best Greek Restaurant

Zorba's Bar and Grill

4710 Eastern Ave. (410) 276-4484

Posted 9/17/2008

The measure of the quality of a place specializing in ethnic dishes can often be determined by observing its patrons, and it's clear that the Greektown neighborhood shows up time and time again for Zorba's delicious authentic Greek cuisine. There's a bar in the front, and a small dining area in the back decorated with stills from the 1964 Anthony Quinn film that shares the restaurant's name. And if you peer through the window to the kitchen, you'll see mouth-watering lamb on rotisseries, waiting to be carved. But the best bang for your buck are the lamb chops. You get eight succulent chops per order, served with the always tangy and refreshing tzatzki sauce, lemon, two side dishes, and bread. It's easily enough food for two, and a bargain dining adventure at around $20.
