Pete "P-Funk" Lynch is the kind of DJ who cares about music and knows his shit, isn't afraid to share his opinion whether it's good or bad, and doesn't always get along with everybody in the scene. In other words, he's our kind of guy. And after several years as one of the leading lights of the long-running local hip-hop cabal Elements Party, he's now putting together most of the rap shows at Sonar, and doing a great job of keeping well-matched local acts on just about every bill with a national headliner. Plus, when he mans the decks for the night, you can pretty much rest assured that you won't hear the same phoned-in mix of current radio hits.
