Druid Hill Park

Bordered by Jones Falls Expressway, Swann Drive and Reisterstown Road, Druid Park, Lake Drive, and Druid Park Drive, ci.baltimore.md.us/government/recnparks/popups/p

Posted 9/16/2009

With the current economy making it tight just to get groceries, who has money for a gym membership? Baltimore weather routinely offers up around nine months of truly nice days to get your exercise on in the great outdoors. Druid Hill Park has newly paved biking paths that snake around and through the park and a paved 1.5-mile loop around the lake that is a great course for biking, running, or walking. Along that paved loop, you will find three new exercise stations featuring rowing, leg press, sit-up, pull-up, and stair machines. Adjacent to the loop at the lake are the newly surfaced basketball and tennis courts, and just down the hill is the pool. There is even a challenging 18-hole disc golf course. If you can't find some way to keep fit at Druid Hill Park, then you just aren't trying hard enough.
