It's certainly not the biggest patio--it's pretty much a rowhouse backyard. And there isn't much of a view, unless you count the nice stucco work on the recently rehabbed building next door. There are no fountains, meticulously tended shrubbery, or ornate stonework. But what Mike's does have is kinda special--a very casual, friendly outdoor dining area overseen by an attentive and down-to-earth staff. It helps that the food is great, naturally, but the vibe seals the deal. It's intimate, relaxed. Like a good pub, its limited space invites neighbors to chat each other up. Yet the open sky gives you room to wander in a private conversation.
