Best Heart Attack in Your Hand

The "Big Bad Wolf" at Big Bad Wolf's House of Barbeque

Jefferson Jackson Steele

5713 Harford Road, (410) 444-6422,

Posted 9/16/2009

We're not kidding, we could hear our carotid artery closing while we, uh, wolfed down the signature, gargantuan sandwich here at Harford Road's House That Pigs Built, an all-techniques-into-one temple of Carolinian, Kansan, and Texan sensibilities, meat-wise. The Big Bad Wolf is barely a sandwich in terms of manageability, so work fast on this brobdignian assemblage of pulled pork, brisket, and hickory-smoked bacon, all doused in your choice of barbecue sauce--we favor the Carolina mustard, but they've got some other stuff that'll take the paint off your tongue, so don't forget the cole slaw.
