The crab soup here is so old-school it thinks Pluto is a planet. But seriously, folks, this is real crab soup. How so? Back in the day, soup was what you made with stuff you couldn't make anything else with--in the case of crab soup, small crabs, and that's exactly what you'll find in Sip and Bite's version: bisected bodies of our beloved Callinectes sapidus. Some actually balk at finding such viscera in their bowl, but the inclusion of crab bodies is what gives the soup its rich, deep, shellfish-y flavor and intense aroma. And then there is the very special pleasure found in fishing them out of the bowl and sucking out the broth-soaked meat.
