Jesus, the things we do to french fries. Gravy, chili, cheese, chili 'n' cheese--what, a little salt and grease not good enough for you? Don't get us wrong, we love us some gravy fries. But isn't there a middle ground between a naked fry and a gloppy, indigestion-triggering mess? Yes, and the Brewer's Art has found it. The BA's garlic-rosemary fries take the humble shoestring spud to a different flavor plain, simple yet delicately complex, the herbs (rosemary! who'da thunk it?) complementing the potato rather than overwhelming it. And at $4 for a mountainous serving, they make a fine munchie for several or an economical meal for one--and a more than adequate ballast for a session with the BA's high-octane house beers.
