Used to be, bar food in Baltimore was a coddie and one of those purple pickled eggs washed down with a National Premium. Times have sure changed, and The City That Still Can't Spell "Mesclun" now boasts all sorts of sophisticated fare in its drinking establishments. The most deliciously innovative bar snacks are at Red Maple, Mount Vernon's super-trendy PoMo design palace. Dress up and go see, be seen, and nosh on gorgeously presented little items like faux sushi made from goat cheese and roasted vegetable (because real sushi is just so over). But do so delicately because getting that leather outfit cleaned will be expensive, darling.
