Winner and still champeen, the Hippo reigns as the best gay bar in Baltimore. It offers the most diversity, and that's what counts. Do you like drag kings and queens? There's karaoke every other Tuesday night so you can sing out strong. Do you like disco? At least once a month there's an oldies night so you can shake your groove thing. Do you prefer current club hits? Every Friday night the Hippo presents Impulse, your chance to be a slave to the newest rhythm. Do you like to shoot pool? It's free to rack 'em up every Monday after 9 P.M. Do you like lesbians? They can be found any night of the week, but the first Sunday of every month, it's raining women, hallelujah! How about gay men? Again, any time is the right time, but Thursday is when the testosterone really covers the dance floor. And the Hippo bartenders are some of the friendliest in town.
