Everybody knows about Angelo's big-as-your-head slices, but go deeper into the menu and you'll discover that this Hampden storefront is no one-trick pony. For less than five American dollars, you can dig your hungry fangs into a sandwich that is warm, hearty, and oh so satisfying: the mushroom cheesesteak, served on a crusty toasted roll. Go for the works (lettuce, tomato, onions, peppers, and hots), or stick to the stripped-down standard model; either way you'll walk away full and happy. Angelo's even passes the true cheesesteak test: When you get the sub to go, the bread isn't soggy after a 10-minute drive home. The next time you're hankering for a taste of Philly, go to Hampden instead.
