Best Place to Merengue Like a Maniac

Latin Palace

509 S. Broadway, (410) 522-6700

Posted 9/15/1999

Carved out of the old Broadway Theater in the heart of Baltimore's burgeoning Latin Quarter, the Palace is a handsome, multilevel nightclub dedicated to salsa, merengue, rumba, and other warm-clime dance delights. Just don't forget the first rule of Latin dance: Keep those hips moving. This can be a struggle for stiff-jointed gringos who weren't weaned on the rolling rhythms. The key is to relax. Or, to couch it in less delicate terms: Free your mind and your ass will follow.
