The folks are in from Milwaukee or some landlocked burb, and they've read about Harborplace. You've gotta take 'em; they won't be happy till you do. Pick someplace that's eye-popping for them and soothing for you, where the flavor of the seafood and drinks is enhanced by an on-the-water location. McCormick and Schmick's is the handsomest harborside location you'll find. Let the restaurant's valet service park your wheels, then stroll your guests past the Pier Six Concert Pavilion and onto the charming patio built out into the water. A lighthouse is on your left, the National Aquarium on your right, and straight ahead lies the harbor, doing its usual tourist business. The food? A bit overpriced (remember where you are), but tasty, bountiful, and varied as the seven seas.
