Best Strip Club: The Ritz Cabaret

504 S. Broadway, (410) 522-7489, Web site

Posted 9/22/2004

The Ritz Cabaret might not be the prettiest gentleman’s club in Baltimore, but for those of us who went to Catholic school and like our strip clubs cheap and hidden it’s the place to go. Since it’s in the middle of Fells Point, you can pretend like you’re going antiquing, then pop into the Ritz for some live nude fun, before finishing the day with a nice ice cream at Maggie Moo’s. Plus, it’s fun for the whole family. If you drag your girlfriend there on a Monday, she gets in free and can buy you $2 drinks all night. Or maybe you don’t have a girlfriend, ’cause you go to strip clubs too much—it’s still cheaper to get in here than most of the places on the Block. But what we like most about the Ritz is that no one’s trying to class it up. The girls dance on the bar next to the pretzels, occasionally they fall off, and at one point we’re pretty sure we saw one swinging on a water pipe instead of a pole. It’s what a Baltimore strip club should be.
