We’ve searched high and low for a place that takes vegetarian food seriously since the Hook Up Rastarant closed its doors earlier this year. We tried the small sampling of places that could accommodate our modest budget and found the Yabba Pot to provide some of the best in Baltimore’s vegetarian/vegan cuisine at the most affordable prices. Its Caribbean-style food makes you feel good you’re eating there—we’ve walked out glowing. Raw kale salad doesn’t sound like a winner until you’ve tasted it, and whatever it is the folks here do to their lentils (rarely are lentils prepared correctly) is just amazing. Plus, they have outdoor seating and are expanding into the building next door, so there’ll be more places to sit soon.
