The Pomekaze at Holy Frijoles

908 W. 36th St., (410) 235-2326

Posted 9/22/2004

Though Holy Frijolesí nigh-magical specialty margarita menu has grown strangely sour in recent weeks (bring back the sweet, please), itís still the only place in town where you can order a Pomekazeóan ingenious marriage of the classic, fuck-you-up-fast Kamikaze and the barís innovative pomegranate margarita, served up shot or cocktail style. Sure, itís bubblegum pink, but this babyís got bite, and antioxidants to boot, if you believe the drink menu in your speedily inebriated state. The Pomekaze isnít on said menu (yet), so youíll have to ask for it, but trust us, once youíve worked your way through the Frijolejito, the Tilted Windmill, and all the other froufrou tipple, youíll be ready to throw the barkeeps a curve ball or two. Theyíll know what youíre talking about.
