Best Girly Beer

Charm City Sour Cherry

Brewer’s Art, 1106 N. Charles St., (410) 547-6925, Web site

Posted 9/22/2004

The Brewer’s Art brews tasty suds like the infamously strong Ozzy and its better’n Yuengling light pale ale, but come on, ladies, you know sometimes we want a li’l more than a pint of the regular without hitting the Grey Goose. Brewer’s serves up its yummy Charm City Sour Cherry from the end of winter to the beginning of spring, and that makes sense, ’cuz we live for the seasonal fashion thang. Peg us as Cosmo-sipping girls, but we like beer, especially when it’s the dead of winter and we don’t have to worry about sporting a bikini. CCSC is a fruit beer minus the la-la and without the sweet that’ll deem your sassy ass a sissy. A light brown beer with a sour cherry vibe, CCSC takes you from winter’s cute cable-knit sweaters to spring’s cotton cardigans with silk cammies, from snow boots to heels, from wool scarves to thin neck wraps, from long underwear to no underwear. Beer may not be South Beach, but, honey, neither are you.
