Considering the tight-knit and vibrant lesbian community that exists in Baltimore it’s always surprising to us how few great lesbian bars there are. Fortunately, we still have Gallagher’s. Tucked away in Canton, it’s a dive bar with a purpose. Home to the Charm City Drag Kings show, Gallagher’s offers both live entertainment as well as a packed dance floor on the weekends. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting, and the décor is total Baltimore neighborhood dive, complete with wood paneling and a Formica bar. It’s hard not to love. While we still think this city could use more places for ladies to get down in the herzzouse, as long as we’ve got Gallagher’s we’re doing pretty good.
