Why We Go: This is one of the few places in town--thanks to our silly blue laws--where you can pick up a few sandwiches, some Italian-style groceries (get the homemade pasta and mozzarella), and a bottle of wine in the same place.

What We Eat: It's hard to get past the meatball sub--here they take half a loaf of fresh Italian bread, scoop out the insides, pour in some delish meatballs and sauce, then close it up with some of that bread, and it's like heaven--but when we do, the cold cut and porketta subs aren't bad choices.

What We'd Change: Those blue laws.
