Why We Go: In a city sorely (and illogically) lacking in great soul food, Sista Sandra's is an oasis on Reisterstown Road that serves up healthy--but not too healthy--Southern-style cooking.

What We Eat: If we could, everything, but the portions here are h-u-g-e. So usually some baked catfish or fried chicken; sides of mac 'n' cheese, greens, or candied yams; and whatever looks good for dessert that day.

What We'd Change: Sista Sandra's wait times tend to be long, as everything is made fresh, and it would be swell if the people who take call-in orders were more accurate when estimating when your supper will be ready.
