Why We Go: It's fancy-type, veggie-friendly pizza in unpretentious surroundings we can get to without driving somewhere godforsaken. It puts any other pizza in the Mount Vernon area to shame, really spoiling us for when we have to dip in for a late-night slice at one of those "other" places.
What We Eat: The funghi pizza comes with about the best mess of mold--"mushroom ragu"--you'll put in your face.
What We'd Change: No pizza by the slice? Granted, this is a bit of a trend at local highbrow pie joints, but it's sometimes a little hard to justify dropping almost $10 on a whole pizza when all you need is a slice.
