Why We Go: Good pours, friendly service, and it's on the way back home from City Hall--we require nothing more from our dimly lit home-style taverns.
What We Eat: When available, the "famous" fish and chips, featuring crispy fish of an incandescent whiteness, edible slaw, and dark, spicy "yacht fries." If not, any of the monster eight-ounce burgers make the grade. Two pounds of steamed mussels for $10 works for us, too.
What We'd Change: If those fish and chips came a little faster, the place would be perfect. OK, if the food came a little faster, and someone finished repairing the ceiling over the bar, it'd be perfect.
