Why We Go: Nothing against franchised sandwich places, but Never on Sunday has the sunny feel of the neighborhood joint that's been there forever (you know, cops in line, panhandlers out front). Plus, there's the gyros.

What We Eat: Gyros. They're overstuffed, the beef/lamb loaf is crispy and juicy, the sauce runs down our chin, but we can just about keep all the tomato and other fixins within the foil wrap.

What We'd Change: Alas, we know it's not fast food, but there are times we're too rushed at lunch to wait.
