Why We Go: For those times you just gotta eat a water-breathing animal, Faidley's is one-stop shopping--extensive fresh seafood offerings, dependable raw bar, and decent kitchen food. It's also one of the few places in town that consistently stocks real Maryland crabmeat.
What We Eat: The best fried clam strips this side of the Bay Bridge. If you've only ever had frozen, they'll be a revelation.
What We'd Change: The quality of the venerated jumbo lump crab cakes has begun to slip--recently they've been oily and overseasoned.
