Why We Go: From the flawless service to the gourmet comfort food of the Southern-inspired menu, this restaurant makes us feel like royalty.

What We Eat: The small-plates menu allows for sampling a wide variety of dishes, and we've never ordered anything here that failed to deliver. The fried green tomato sandwich with lobster and crab hash, simply the best-we've-ever-tasted shellfish bisque, and the always creamy and delicious foie gras are all favorites.

What We'd Change: Charleston is expensive. Of course, that's part of the whole feeling-like-royalty thing.
