Why We Go: Lebanese Taverna has run fantastic Middle Eastern restaurants (as well as more informal caf%u017Ds) all around the Mid-Atlantic, but never in Baltimore until last year. Plus the grandiloquent Levantine-modern d%u017Dcor of the place wows.
What We Eat: We rarely pass up some assortment of mezze (Middle Eastern "small plates"), but when we do, it's usually for the farrouk meshwi--grilled chicken served with a garlic pur%u017De.
What We'd Change: The glass mezze plates with their coolio square serving cups make an excellent presentation; the foil wrapper on the sandwiches, amid such sleek fixtures, not so much.
