Why We Go: We're in a good mood and want to stay that way. The good mood is so infectious here but the high spirits belie how seriously the kitchen takes its mission.
What We Eat: Probably the crab cake, and definitely the signature Guinness steak, and maybe one of the wacko appetizers--the pepper berry tuna (with Pop Rocks!) or the macaroni and cheese with chocolate--and the lavender-peppercorn ice cream for dessert.
What We'd Change: We still want to see them fold some more mundane food into the menu, not so much because we want it but because we think other people do and we want Jack's to succeed.
