Why We Go: The menu shows signs of culinary ambition while bar-food standards are well executed, and owner Brian Fox makes you feel like an instant regular.
What We Eat: The huge, well-seasoned burgers are 1/2 price on Mondays (black 'n' bleu with bacon conquers all). Steamed shrimp are excellent, and the draft brew is exceptionally cold.
What We'd Change: The crab soup and crab dip seem interchangeable, and strawberries in salad is just wrong.
