Why We Go: A savory vegetarian menu whose tastiness trumps that of other Maryland veggie spots and offers a friendly atmosphere where carnivore and vegetarian friends can eat like kings and queens side by side (although rare is the carni-/omnivore not won over by Chan's faux-meat offerings).

What We Eat: It's hard to misfire on this menu, but you'll thank us if you bring a group and share the following: spinach soup, nasu-ten sushi, veggie protein nuggets with cashew nuts, yuba with green curry, healmay with shiitake, mock ribs, and tempeh with orange sauce.

What We'd Change: Is a second location further into the city too much to ask for?
