We'd say that Elvis makes the best San Francisco-style burritos in town, but then the pedants would swoop in and insist the burritos served at this small Light Street restaurant and carry-out are nothing like those found in the Mission District. And they'd probably be right, but hey, this is Baltimore, where just about the only other place to get a decent Mission-style burrito is at national chain Chipotle. We ordered a spinach burrito ($5.50) on a recent visit and got heaping mounds of rice, black beans, tomatoes, corn, and, of course, spinach wrapped up in a huge flour tortilla. Not much different from your average Chipotle offering, but for some reason distinctly better: Does Elvis cook its rice in chicken broth? Elvis also serves a range of other Latino entrées--tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, etc.--but stick with the burritos. The meat in our carne asada ($7.99), while flavorful, was mostly dry, and the go-with refried beans and guacamole were substandard.
