We'd driven past this place many times, but never stopped--it's kind of in an odd location on Washington Boulevard, just past the confusing intersection where it intersect with Patapsco Avenue and Hammonds Ferry Road. But someone mentioned to us that even though it looks like a sketchy place to put a bar, it's not a bad place to have a drink (despite the warning that you're on "candid camera" and the little security cams posted in every corner). So on a recent evening, early, a friend and I went to check it out. And damn if it wasn't a friendly, pleasant hole-in-the-wall kind of joint with some pretty stained-glass chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, a pool table in the back, and a bartender who introduced himself by name. We only had time for a quick drink, which was a shame because they had an American ale on tap that the bartender described as a cross between a Yuengling and a pale ale--and it was quite good. Now that we've been in, we'll definitely be back.
